Rule 24-1-106. Introduction of remaining portions of writings or recorded statements

When a writing or recorded statement or part thereof is introduced by a party, an adverse party may require the introduction at that time of any other part or any other writing or recorded statement which, in fairness, should be considered contemporaneously with the writing or recorded statement.

History of section. - Former Code Section 24-2-4, which contained comparable provisions to this Code section, as effective January 1, 2013, was derived from the decisions in Monroe v. Phillips, 64 Ga. 32 (1879); Dowling v. Feeley, 72 Ga. 557 (1884); and Jones v. Grantham, 80 Ga. 472 , 5 S.E. 764 (1888).
