Rule 24-9-903. Subscribing witness's testimony

The testimony of a subscribing witness shall not be necessary to authenticate a writing unless required by the laws of the jurisdiction whose laws govern the validity of the writing.
History of section. - Former Code Section 24-7-5, which contained comparable provisions to this Code section, as effective January 1, 2013, was derived in part from the decision in McVicker v. Conkle, 96 Ga. 584 , 24 S.E. 23 (1895).
