Rule 86. Roster of Interpreters
The Supreme Court Language Services Section shall maintain a roster of each Supreme Court certified foreign language interpreter, Supreme Court certified sign language interpreter, provisionally qualified foreign language interpreter, registered foreign language interpreter, and registered sign language interpreter who is in compliance with the applicable continuing education requirements of Sup.R. 85. The Section shall post the roster on the website of the Supreme Court. The Section may also include a list of assessed interpreters who have scored no less than 70 percent on the written exam, have attended twenty-four hours of court-related training, and have demonstrated proficiency in the foreign language through an oral proficiency interview. Assessed interpreters must also pass a background check showing no conviction of a crime involving moral turpitude and have the legal right to work in the United States.
